Exercise COUGAR SALVO
18 - 25 March 2005

Exercise Cougar Salvo was the largest military exercise held on civilian lands in British Columbia since the end of the Second World War in 1945.  Several hundred personnel deployed to the Kamloops area to conduct combined arms collective training in a "Three Block War" scenario - in other words, infantry, armoured, engineers, artillery and the supporting trades came together to operate as a larger formation, carrying out simulated peace support, humanitarian operations, and war fighting missions.

The Calgary Highlanders fielded a sizeable force during this Exercise, held from 18 to 25 March 2005.
