Lieutenant Colonel DE Lewis, Commanding Officer of the Calgary Highlanders, poses with Pipe Major Angus MacDonald (center) and Pipe Sergeant Donald Maxwell (later Pipe Major Maxwell, MMM, CD) at the Calgary Highland Games in 1959.  Pipe Major Angus MacDonald captured the prize for the Western Open Championship (March, Strathspey and Reel), and Pipe Sergeant Maxwell was rewarded for Grand Aggregate Piobaireachd and Strathspey and Reel.
